    Abstract

The world trading system is at an important juncture. Subject to increasing public scrutiny and criticism, the WTO needs to reassess itself in light of the importance of its developing country members, the lessons that have been leant from the first years of implementation of the Uruguay Round Agreement and the need for wider support from civil society, including the business community. This CEPS Working Party Report considers the importance of the new Trade Round and the key issues that it must address.
