PDF - Published Version Download (1458Kb) |
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present some relevant details about changes in the Midlands region since 1960 which may be of some benefit to region planners administrators and public representatives. At the outset let me apologise for the quality of much of this material which can be attributed to the serious deficiencies in the statistics available since 1971. This is all the more regrettable as the last decade has been one of rapid demographic and economic change.
