Abstract
{From the Introduction]. In this paper we will discuss what insights that an approach which draws on the evolving "regime" literature can provide concerning the Community's present and future exchange rate arrangements. Consequently, we are interested in the status of the European Monetary System (EMS) as a regime, and we are interested in conjecturing about the status of Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) as a regime.
