    Abstract

    In this study, researchers present the ENGINE model, an electricity system investment model developed in the ESRI, and analyse the optimal long-run power system development, minimising the costs of electricity generation under a phase-out of fossil-fuel power stations and/or the development of the North-South interconnector.
