    Abstract

    This paper deals with the recent reform of fixed-term contracts introduced by law no. 78/2014. It analyses the contents and the main implications of this reform. The paper goes on to examine the direction in labour policy adopted by the Renzi government, of which the reform of fixed-term contracts seems to be only the first step.
