    Abstract

Even though the period considered is relatively short, it has not been difficult to select a number of important judgements to be commented on. The Court of Justice has become even more productive and the issues dealt with continue to be of great and wide-ranging importance. It might be justified to ask whether the Court, facing a still growing number of cases, will be given sufficient time to consider decisive questions indepth before handing down judgements in landmark cases. It is our impression that many people and institutions (politicians/Council) forget that the Court is also supposed to function as the Supreme Court of the Communities.
