    Abstract

How are domestic interests adjusted to the purposes, policies, and prescriptions of a supranational entity? Specifically, in implementing the Common Agricultural Policy, how have the interests of specialized domestic groups been accomodated? To what extent are Community directives autonomous of national interests? These and other questions are examined in a comparative study of French and German agriculture.
