Abstract
The present study focuses on the immigration policies of three similar countries of the European Union: Greece, Italy, and Spain. First it examines the sources of immigration; second, it puts into analytical perspectives the three countries governments' responses to the increasing immigration; and third, it compares and contrasts the success and failures of these countries in conforming with the Schengen Agreement.
