Abstract
This article explores the overall dynamics between regulatory sources of Italian and European labour law, currently subject of far-reaching transformations in the direction of a greater decentralization of discipline towards corporate and local law, but also increasingly exposed to the scrutiny of the European Union regulatory framework. With reference to the case of The Autonomous Province of Trento, the creation of the Trentino Observatory on Social Rights improved the access to the different sources and the development of a discussion concerning the weight of the supranational law of the European Union, with the related issues regarding the balance between economic freedom and collective social rights, compared to the social model of Trentino based on social concerted action, government of the labor market, supervision of public procurement and compliance with collective bargaining agreement, controlled delivery of welfare measures.
